Ms. Pampena has a thorough understanding of the construction industry, real estate development and financing of commercial office buildings, retail developments and healthcare, senior living and education facilities. In her role as president, Ms. Pampena's hands-on involvement in strategic aspects of each project has earned the Company the invaluable trust of clients in multiple industries. Her business acumen, enthusiasm and proficient knowledge of the industry have been keys to the steadfast commitment of leading a successful construction company in today's competitive environment.
As part of her commitment to equipping clients to meet their highest goals for construction excellence, as well as achieving their business objectives, Ms. Pampena obtained certification of the Company as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in May 2004. This certification is another significant example of Ms. Pampena's commitment to meeting the aspirations of today's high-performing business.
Before becoming president of the Company in 2000, Ms. Pampena served as vice president and general counsel for eight years. During this time, she became directly involved in the development and construction of assisted living and independent living facilities, responsible for site acquisition and all aspects of the development process, including feasibility studies, zoning, municipal approvals and permits.
Before joining Graziano in 1992, Ms. Pampena was associated with a prominent Pittsburgh law firm, where she concentrated her practice in the areas of corporate law, and real estate financing and transaction real estate matters.
Ms. Pampena is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College, where she received her bachelor's degree in political science. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1988 with a doctorate of law degree. Ms. Pampena is active in numerous civic, professional and charitable associations. Currently, she is a member of the board of trustees for The Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and serves on the board of directors of Girls Hope of Pittsburgh. As a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (Pittsburgh Chapter), Ms. Pampena served as chapter chair in 2005-2006 and on the board of directors for four years. In addition, Ms. Pampena is a member of the Allegheny Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
