HISTORY

Quality craftsmanship, trust and integrity have been the hallmarks of Graziano Construction & Development Company since our inception in 1952. For more than 50 years, time has strengthened these long-standing attributes, reflecting who we are and how we do business.

Graziano's rich history began in 1952 when Pasquale "Patsy" Graziano founded the Company. Patsy's expertise in masonry, vision for success and firm belief in the value of relationships laid the foundation for what was to become one of the most respected general contracting firms in western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and New York.

Patsy was recognized in the industry for his uncompromising standards and attention to detail. He was a familiar figure at every Graziano jobsite, where he was known for personally inspecting each phase of a project. Pasty built every project on trust, and his reputation for integrity and passion for perfection became renown industrywide. Pasty served as president of the Company until 1980 and chief executive officer until 1994.

In 1961, Mr. Ralph Pampena, son-in-law of Patsy Graziano, joined the Company and quickly became recognized for his outstanding creativity and commitment to exceeding industry standards and client expectations. From 1980 to 2000, Graziano was led under Mr. Pampena's capable direction as president. Throughout his 20-year leadership, Mr. Pampena was instrumental in the successful outcomes of numerous high-profile projects in Pittsburgh, as well as expanding the Company's expertise in the construction and development of healthcare and senior living facilities.

Today, Graziano thrives under the professional leadership of Denise M. Pampena, daughter of the late Ralph Pampena and granddaughter of the late Patsy Graziano. Ms. Pampena joined the Company in 1992 as vice president and general counsel, responsible for real estate acquisitions and all aspects of the development process. In 2000, she was named president of the Company, overseeing all corporate decision-making, including operations, management and business development. Ms. Pampena places a top priority on maintaining long-term relationships by providing innovative strategic development and expeditious performance to each client project. She is actively involved in the daily management of construction initiatives and brings her leadership, vision and expertise to each project.

A key element of Ms. Pampena's leadership is to consistently deliver superior service by providing real solutions for real client needs, goals and aspirations. In May 2004, Graziano became certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania — one of the most widely respected certifications in the nation. As a certified WBE, Graziano is uniquely qualified to provide clients with the highest-quality construction and renovation services in the industry, while helping them meet their business goals. Graziano is one of the few general construction companies in Pennsylvania that is WBE-certified and 100 percent women-owned.

From Graziano's rich heritage and proven past, to our strong, successful future, we continue to build upon our legacy of quality construction, responsible management and most important, our experienced, talented team of professionals who shares our founder's passion for perfection.
